THE FULL STORY

Patricia originally hails from Curitiba in the southern state of Parana, Brazil. At the age of 17 while on vacation, she fell in love with the modern birthplace of Lambada, Porto Seguro in the north-eastern state of Bahia. She had found her heart’s home, and another great love- the dance itself.

The combination of these two forces were too much to resist and just weeks after her holiday, she returned to Porto Seguro to live and to learn to move like the indigenous females she so admired. From this point Patricia’s natural talent, determination and a first opportunity from Braz dos Santos would lead to her making dance, and most notably, Lambada her profession.

While living in Bahia Patricia’s presence was a fixture at “Reggae Night” and “Axe Moi” and tours and shows in other regions of Brazil soon followed. In time overseas opportunities presented themselves and Patricia lived and worked alongside dance partners Edinaldo “Didi” dos Santos and Braz dos Santos in Buenos Aires, Paris, Geneva and Majorca before finally settling in London in 2002.

London further cemented her hypnotising partnership with Braz dos Santos, and allowed a new one to form with the renowned Luiz “Lula” Filho- a relationship that continues to this day. From her home in England Patricia has performed and taught the world over from the most famous dance congresses of Europe- Amsterdam, Barcelona and London itself- to those in the far reaches of Australia, Asia and South America.

Patricia married her beloved husband Jamie in 2003 and gave birth to a beautiful daughter in 2006, naming her after her favourite Lambada song, “Aiysha”. Even motherhood has not halted the progress of this ever-evolving woman. Eight weeks after Aiysha’s birth she performed in a show, and career-enhancing work and studies have ensued. She now has qualifications in dance (UKA), anatomy, physiology, nutrition, personal training and sports massage.
